This fall, the Pacific Gas and Electric Company is scheduled to install a replacement reactor vessel closure head at the Diablo Canyon Power Plant. The two units at this plant produce enough electricity to power three million homes every year. Diablo Canyon Outage workers staying 7 days or longer can receive special extended stay rates.
